Red Velvet Cupcakes
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweeted cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup oil
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and use cupcake liners for muffin tins
- Place the four, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in mixing bowl
- Combine buttermilk, oil, egg whites, red food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar in a bowl and combine
- Pour the liquid into the dry ingredients and mix on low until smooth
- Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full. Bake for 16-20 minutes. Check with toothpick and cool completely.
