Crack Candy
Ingredients
- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 12 oz bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
- festive sprinkles and candy
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or tinfoil (if using tinfoil spray with non-stick spray) and line the saltines up in rows
- Melt the butter and brown sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Boil 2-3 minutes stirring constantly, until thick
- Pour the butter/brown sugar mixture over the saltines and spread with a rubber spatula
- Bake at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes, until browned and bubbly
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Let the chocolate chips sit for 5 minutes, then spread with a rubber spatula evenly across the saltines
- Top the crack candy with decorations of choice.
- Place in fridge until chocolate is hardened, or at least 1-2 hours. Break into pieces and serve. Store any leftovers in a ziploc bag in the freezer
