Potato Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 cup prepared instant potatoes
- 5-7 cups flour
Instructions
- Prepare potatoes according to package directions.
- In a small bowl combine yeast, water and 2 tbsp. of the sugar. Once yeast rises, combine all remaining ingredients in mixing bowl. Add flour 1 cup at a time.
- Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut and roll crescent style and let rise to 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes and then brush with butter.
